General Atomics Europe GmbH (GA-Europe) is an integrated technology group for aviation, infrastructure and sustainability headquartered in Dresden, Germany.

We are looking for motivated and aviation enthusiastic support for our centerpiece - the Do228 NXT project. With state-of-the-art equipment, improved performance and in compliance with current environmental regulations, the next generation of the Do228 aircraft is being produced: Take an active part in building the Do228 NXT! At our production site in Oberpfaffenhofen, as well as at our headquarters in Dresden for the project team, we are now looking for:
 
 >>> Engineers (m/f/d) for the development of the innovative Dornier 228 NXT.

Responsibilities

For our core engineering team in Oberpfaffenhofen or in the Dresden project team, we have various positions to fill with the following tasks, e.g:
 
  • Systems Engineer Electrical & Avionics (m/f/d): Design and integration of state-of-the-art avionics, mission systems and reconnaissance sensors (possible in Oberpfaffenhofen or Dresden).
 
  • Systems engineer for mech. aviation systems (m/f/d): Preparation of specifications of complex components and construction documents/approval documentation, as well as supervision of ground/flight tests (possible in Oberpfaffenhofen or Dresden)
 
  • Calculation engineer (m/f/d): Calculation and verification of aircraft components up to complete aircraft (possible in Oberpfaffenhofen or Dresden)
 
  • Designer/technical draughtsman (m/f/d): Design of specific aircraft components in the Catia V5 design program, as well as coordination with interfaces in production (possible in Oberpfaffenhofen)
 
  • Config Manager/Project Classifier (m/f/d): Classification of projects and the associated materials according to official regulations, as well as configuration control during production and the entire service life of our Do228 fleet (possible in Oberpfaffenhofen)
 
  • Engineer for type test control center (m/f/d): Creation of verification programs for certification according to EASA/FAA regulations, in cooperation with corresponding aviation authorities (possible in Oberpfaffenhofen)

Your profile

  • You have a degree as an engineer (m/f/d) in aerospace, mechanical engineering, vehicle construction or you have a similar degree
  • You should already have relevant professional experience
  • You enjoy developing and optimizing components in the aviation sector
  • Depending on the area of responsibility, you are confident in using CATIA V5 and other common design software tools
  • You are willing to make regular business trips to the production site to accompany the progress of your project (approx. 20% / project phase dependent)
  • You have a good command of German and English, knowledge of French is also an advantage
