Refocusing of SGL Spezial- und Bergbau-Servicegesellschaft Lauchhammer mbH

SGL Spezial- und Bergbau-Servicegesellschaft Lauchhammer mbH has announced that it will cease its business activities in the field of specialized construction technology and to refocuses on laboratory and environmental analysis.

The company is reacting to a highly competitive market environment in the construction sector and an unsatisfactory volume of new orders. This new focus is of course being implemented controlled and in close coordination and communication with suppliers, partners and customers, partners and customers. All current projects in the specialized construction sector will be completed correctly.

This decision was made after careful analysis of the current market situation and the company's strategic orientation. Despite intensive efforts to increase efficiency and competitiveness, the economic conditions have made it necessary to refocus SGL, as no improvement is foreseeable in the coming years.

Around 60 employees are affected by the closure of the business area. We are currently working on socially acceptable solutions for them.

The analytical laboratory of SGL Spezial- und Bergbau-Servicegesellschaft Lauchhammer mbH is not affected by these changes and will continue to provide its existing range of laboratory and environmental analysis services and will be further expanded. At the laboratory site in Lübbenau (Spreewald), SGL carries out analyses of water, solids, soils and waste, as well as PFAS tests and sampling.
